<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>I am tired this morning and it will be a long day. Kaydence had a bad night with her asthma. She was up coughing most of the night, coughing to the point of vomiting. Rosemary was the one who stayed up with her. I tried to sleep; but I knew Rosemary would need relief by early morning and there would be no daycare today. I finally gave up and got up about 4:30. Even tired my heart melts when she coughs and cries, wanting to sleep but unable to. I know her Dad will be back on Friday and she will leave us for three weeks and I will miss her even the vomit and the sleepless nights.<\/span><\/div>\n

It’s times like this that I feel I don’t really love the Lord like I do my “loved” ones.\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

“Paul says he is overruled, overmastered, held as in a vice, by the love of Christ. Very few of us know what it means to be held in a grip by the love of God; we are held by the constraint of our experience only.” No matter how grateful we are for what God has done for us, our relationship with Him is still “spiritual.”We are constrained by our experience and our experience is predominately physical.<\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0^{20<\/sup> If someone says, \u201cI love God,\u201d and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 1 John 4:20.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\nYet it is by our love for each other that men will know we are His. <\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\nBy this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\nThis is what I conclude: I can love the loveable on my own, my grandchildren when they are cute, my wife when she behaves; my fellow Christians when they act right.\u00a0 But to love everyone, always, I need Him. And on those rare times that I do it; I know He is here.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\nWe are called to love more than the precious ones. We are called to love the Haitians whom we don’t know. We are called to love the Muslims whom we think we know. We are called to love our “loved ones” even when they’re not very lovable.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\nCovered with vomit and tired from a sleepless night, I love my great grandchild. Thank you Jesus.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\nLove a little like Him and maybe you do love Him.<\/span><\/div>\nBe blessed.<\/span><\/div>\n
