Every successful business has a mission statement. The mission statement should be a clear and succinct representation of the enterprise’s purpose for existence. Maybe it isn’t a bad idea to have a written personal mission statement. The devil would love to get us distracted and off the course on which God has placed us. God has something He wants us to do and we had better not substitute the good for the best.
Find out what God wants you to do and refuse to be distracted by the devil. We need to say as the apostle Paul said, “This one thing I do!” Know what it is that God wants and do it with all your strength for His glory!
Take a few minutes to write out a mission statement about your life focusing on “that one thing” that you think God has called you to do. With that thought written on the paper before us, we can base every decision on consistency with our Mission Statement.
We’re all on a mission. It’s a blessing to be able to clearly state what it is and it’s a true guide to “staying on mission” each day.
