In the middle of Gulf Shores there is a stretch of beach without high rises, t-shirt shops or seafood restaurants. It’s a state park and, obviously, development is not permitted in this area. It’s the beach “as God intended it.” At least that was my first thought.
But I’m not sure that it is God’s favorite piece of the beach. I think He is mighty proud of the accomplishments of his children. Like a proud parent He may have a picture of the developed areas of Gulf Shores on his refrigerator.
This is not to say that beach development is the highest accomplishment of man. In fact, there are many much greater things that folks have done. The point is that God created the world for man to have dominion over it. We are suppose to do the best we can with what we are given.
What’s happening on your stretch of beach? Are you keeping it just the way you found it? Are you trying to make something good and productive from the hot barren sand? A long time has passed and the return of the master can’t be far off.
Be productive, be a blessing and be blessed.
